Terms and conditions
- The promoter is Places DMCC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("Places").
- The giveaway runs from 1 November 2026 at 00:00 to 30 November 2026 at 23:59, Dubai time (GST). Payments outside this period do not earn entries.
- Entries are earned by paying a bill at a Places partner restaurant through the Places app by card. Debit cards, credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay all count as card payments.
- Each card payment earns 1 entry for every full AED 50 of that payment. For example, AED 120 earns 2 entries and AED 49 earns none. Separate payments are not added together.
- The amount counted is the total paid through the Places app, including any tip.
- Payments made with Places Wallet balance do not earn entries.
- Payments that are refunded, reversed or cancelled do not earn entries, and any entries already given for them are removed.
- There is no limit to the number of entries one person can earn.
- Entries are added to the participant’s Places account automatically. No sign-up form, code or extra step is needed.
- After each eligible payment, Places sends a WhatsApp message to the mobile number registered on the participant’s Places account, showing the entries earned from that payment and their total entries so far.
- Participants must be 18 or older and hold a registered Places account with a UAE mobile number. Employees of Places DMCC and their immediate family members are not eligible.
- There is one prize: one Apple iPhone Duo, 512GB, Star White.
- One winner is chosen at random from all valid entries in a live draw on the Places Instagram account (@getplacesuae) on 1 December 2026.
- Places contacts the winner using the mobile number registered on their Places account. If the winner does not respond within 7 days of being contacted, the prize is forfeited and a new winner is drawn.
- The prize is handed over in person at the Places partner restaurant where the winning payment was made.
- The handover is filmed and published on Places’ Instagram. Agreeing to be filmed is a condition of receiving the prize. A winner who declines is treated as not claiming the prize, and a new winner is drawn.
- By taking part, participants accept these terms.
iPhone Duo giveaway FAQ
How do I enter the Places iPhone Duo giveaway?
Pay your bill by card through the Places app at any Places partner restaurant in Dubai between 1 and 30 November 2026. Every full AED 50 in a single card payment gives you 1 entry, added to your account automatically.
How many entries can I get?
There is no limit. Each card payment earns 1 entry per full AED 50, so an AED 120 payment earns 2 entries and an AED 275 payment earns 5. The more you dine with Places in November, the more entries you collect.
Do small payments add up to an entry?
No. Each payment is counted on its own. A single card payment of AED 50 or more is needed for an entry. Three separate payments of AED 40 earn no entries.
Do tips count towards my entries?
Yes. The total you pay through the Places app, including the tip, is what counts. An AED 42 bill with an AED 8 tip is an AED 50 payment and earns 1 entry.
How do I know how many entries I have?
After every eligible card payment, Places sends you a WhatsApp message on your registered mobile number with the entries you just earned and your total entries so far.
Do Places Wallet payments count?
No. Only card payments earn entries. Payments made with your Places Wallet balance are separate transactions and do not count towards the giveaway.
Do Apple Pay and Google Pay count as card payments?
Yes. Apple Pay and Google Pay payments through the Places app count as card payments, as do debit and credit cards.
Do I still get cashback on payments that earn entries?
Yes. The giveaway is on top of your normal Places cashback. You earn the restaurant’s usual cashback rate on the payment and collect your giveaway entries at the same time.
When and how is the winner chosen?
One winner is drawn at random from all valid entries, live on the Places Instagram account @getplacesuae on 1 December 2026.
How will I know if I have won?
Places will contact the winner on the mobile number registered to their Places account. The winner has 7 days to respond, or a new winner is drawn.
How is the iPhone Duo handed over?
In person, at the Places partner restaurant where the winning payment was made. The handover is filmed for the Places Instagram account, and agreeing to be filmed is required to receive the prize.
Who can take part?
Anyone 18 or older with a registered Places account and a UAE mobile number. Employees of Places DMCC and their immediate family are not eligible.
Which restaurants count?
