Refund & Cancellation Policy for Places

Order Cancellation Before Payment

Users can cancel their payment request at any time before completing the transaction within the Places app.

Cancellation After Payment

Once a payment has been successfully processed, it cannot be cancelled via the Places app. Users must contact the restaurant directly for any cancellations or refunds related to their dining experience. If a transaction was made in error or due to a technical issue, users must contact hello@placesuae.com for resolution.

Impact on Cashback

If a transaction is refunded, any Cashback Points earned from that transaction will be reversed. If Cashback Points have already been used in another transaction, the refunded amount will be adjusted accordingly.

Force Majeure

Places is not responsible for cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances such as restaurant closures, extreme weather, or system downtime.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds apply only to transactions made through the Places app. Requests must be submitted within 7 days of the transaction date. Refunds will only be processed for incorrect billing amounts, unauthorized or fraudulent transactions, and service issues such as non-receipt of a meal after payment.

Non-Refundable Transactions

Cashback Points earned through Places Pay are non-refundable and non-transferable. Refunds are not applicable if a user changes their mind after a successful transaction. Refund requests due to dissatisfaction with food or service must be addressed directly with the restaurant.

Refund Process

Users must contact Places Customer Support at hello@placesuae.com with transaction details, reason for refund, and supporting documentation (e.g., receipt, restaurant confirmation). Refunds will be processed within 7-14 business days after verification. Approved refunds will be credited back to the original payment method. If this is not possible, the amount will be transferred via bank transfer.

Dispute Resolution

If a refund request is denied, users can appeal by providing additional supporting documents. Disputes will be reviewed, and a final decision will be made within 14 business days.
