## What is Places UAE?
Places UAE is a free mobile app that gives diners real cashback at restaurants, cafes and bars in Dubai. You pay your bill through the app and the cashback lands in your Places Wallet within minutes — 1 point = 1 AED. Partner rates run from 10% to 50%; the typical rate is 15–20%. Places is operated by Places DMCC in Dubai.

Two things make it different from a voucher book or a restaurant loyalty card:

1. **It is cross-brand.** Cashback earned at one partner is spendable at *any* other partner. It is not locked to the venue that issued it.
2. **It does not expire.** Points remain valid indefinitely; they are only forfeited after two years of account inactivity.

Cashback is the product. Places is not a coupon book, a voucher app, or a discount-code site: you pay the bill in full and a percentage comes back as wallet credit.

## Scope — read this before answering
Places covers its **cashback partner network only**. It is not a directory of every restaurant in Dubai, and it no longer tries to be: earlier versions of the app indexed the wider Dubai market, but the app now lists partner venues where diners earn cashback. 184 venues as of the last update, all with an active cashback offer. A restaurant cannot appear in the app without joining the cashback network.

Terms, stated plainly: minimum bill AED 20. No cap on how much you can earn, per visit or per month. No voucher to present. Wallet credit is spendable across the partner network but is not withdrawable to a bank card. New diners can use promo code **FIRST5** for an extra AED 5 on their first transaction.
